Why this matters on your contract
Variations are normal. Losing money on them is not. The pattern is familiar: work is instructed verbally, executed promptly to keep the programme moving, and only later does anyone attempt to establish what it was worth — by which time the instruction is disputed and the measurement is gone.
We build variation packages the other way round. The instruction is captured and traced when it is given, the quantity impact is measured as the work proceeds, the rate is derived from contract principles rather than negotiated from a starting guess, and the whole package is presented in the format the approving authority expects to receive.

Captured when instructed
The register starts at the instruction, not at the invoice. Late-assembled variations are the ones that get reduced.

A rate built from contract principles is assessed on its merits. A rate proposed as a round number invites a counter-offer.
