Consultancy & Design
Independent technical advisory from feasibility through defect liability — delivered as a written position you can act on, not a report that describes the problem back to you.
Overview
Most technical problems on a construction contract are visible long before they become expensive. A specification that cannot be met with locally available material. A detail that cannot be built in the sequence the programme assumes. A clause that transfers a risk nobody priced. What is usually missing is not expertise but time — the project team is already fully occupied delivering the work in front of them.
Our consultancy service supplies that missing capacity. We come in as an independent technical reviewer, interrogate the assumptions behind the scope, and hand back a clear written position with a recommended course of action. We do not pad the report, and we do not hedge every finding into uselessness. If something is wrong, you will be told plainly and shown the evidence.
Scope
Every element below is covered as standard. Anything outside it is quoted separately and agreed before we begin.
Assessment of whether the proposed scope can be delivered within the stated budget, programme and site constraints, with the specific risks that threaten each.
Independent review of drawings and specifications for internal consistency, code compliance, constructability and completeness before they reach the site.
A construction-sequence walkthrough that identifies details which cannot be built as drawn, congested reinforcement, impossible tolerances and access conflicts.
A documented register of technical and contractual risks with likelihood, impact, owner and recommended mitigation for each.
Plain-language explanation of what the payment, variation, escalation and time clauses actually oblige you to do, and by when.
Independent verification of another consultant's design, quantity or claim position when you need certainty before committing.
Our Approach
01
Every finding carries a recommended action and the reasoning behind it. You should never have to ask what we think you should do.
02
We take no share of construction value and no commission from suppliers. There is no outcome we benefit from other than being right.
03
A detail changed at review costs a drawing revision. The same detail changed at third-floor slab level costs a month.
