Why this matters on your contract
Most Nepali construction contracts of any duration contain a price adjustment clause. A surprising number of contractors never claim under it — either because the computation looks forbidding, or because nobody was tracking the index movements while the work was going on.
The mechanism is not complicated, but it is unforgiving about evidence. Base period figures, current period figures, the correct component weightings and quantities executed within each period all have to line up. We compute the entitlement, present the workings transparently, and submit it in the format the certifying authority expects. Escalation claims we prepare are approved as submitted in the great majority of cases.

Collection of the published index figures for the base and each current period, from the source the contract nominates.
Period-wise quantity allocation
Executed quantity allocated to the correct adjustment period, tied to measurement book and bill records.

Full computation per period and per component, with every intermediate figure shown.
Claim documentation
Submission pack with clause reference, methodology narrative, index evidence and computation appendices.
Retrospective escalation recovery
Computation of unclaimed escalation from earlier periods where the contract still permits it.

Whichever the contract nominates — typically the published national indices for the relevant material and labour components. Using the wrong index is a frequent reason for rejection, so we verify the source against the clause before computing.
For a contract with organised measurement records, typically two to three weeks. Where quantities must first be allocated to periods from incomplete records, longer — we will scope it after seeing what exists.
